The new model marks the beginning of a new era for Yamarin Cross. The new design is subtly elegant and features practical solutions: extensive aft platforms that make it easy and safe to step onto the boat from the pier or from the water, a modern, ergonomically designed console, and exceptionally spacious interiors and storage spaces.
The boat’s design supports versatility: the backrest of the aft seat can easily be removed for fishing or sunbathing, the spacious interiors allow for easy transport of goods, and the boat's width provides ample space and stability. The most significant factors contributing to the spaciousness of the interior are its 2.24-meter width and the driver and passenger's consoles being positioned further forward than usual.
The boat’s hull is entirely new. The new Cross style also includes black window frames, rails, handles and cleats.
A Versatile Runabout for Various Uses
True to Yamarin's tradition, the Cross 55 BR serves well as a companion for fishing trips, or as a general-purpose boat for the family. The sturdy aluminum hull makes the boat durable and worry-free, while the fiberglass deck allows stylish and practical design solutions.
The rear of the boat is open and easily accessible. The wide swim platforms extend far back on both sides of the engine, facilitating boarding. A single step higher begins a broad, continuous platform that allows easy transition to the open area. The aft seat and backrest is placed on this platform. The backrest can easily be removed when the platform is used for fishing or sunbathing.
The boat features clear and spacious storage spaces totaling 400 liters. Under the aft platform is a 150-liter storage compartment with space for storing the canopy. Access to the storage space and canopy compartment is easy, as the entire aft platform lid lifts up and tilts to a 62-degree angle, and cushions, for example, do not limit the use of the lid. The battery is also located in the rear storage space, but entirely separately in its own protected compartment.
The large aft platform also offers the possibility to sit comfortably in the harbor or on the shore, facing backward with your feet on the swim platform. An optional water-skiing arch also facilitates movement on the rear deck.
Great Spaces for Passengers and Baggage
Thanks to the more forward-positioned consoles, there is ample legroom in front of the rear seat. Passengers also have sturdy grab handles on the boat’s sides. In addition to the wide aft seat and comfortable individual seats, there is an over one-meter-wide bench in the bow, which also serves as a step when boarding from the bow. Including the front bench, 5–6 people can comfortably travel in the open area.
Under the bow bench is additional storage space for luggage, and under the bow deck, there is space for an anchor and mooring ropes. An optional bow ladder is available for the bow.
Advanced Driver’s Console with Cross Q Multipurpose Display
The driver’s experience is entirely new: visibility, ergonomics, ease of use of the Q screen, and storage spaces are the most important aspects of the control console.
Driver ergonomics have been carefully considered with the new console design. To ensure the best possible visibility, the standard Cross Q smart screen is positioned clearly to the side, to the right of the steering wheel. This way, the steering wheel does not obstruct the screen, and the level of the entire console is lower, providing excellent forward visibility. The touchscreen has been brought as close to the driver as possible, making it easy to use even in rough conditions.
The left console is narrower than the driver's console to make the passage to the bow as spacious as possible. Both consoles have storage space for luggage, a glove compartment for small items, and a charging socket for mobile devices.
Standard equipment includes a 10" Cross Q smart screen, swim ladder and softdeck coating on the bow deck, under the seating area on the aft platform, and in the console footrests.
Optional extras include softdeck coating for the open area floor and swim platforms, a larger 12" Cross Q smart screen, echo sounder, fishfinder, harbour cover, bow ladder, bow motor bracket, additional battery for the bow, and a water-skiing arch.
The Yamarin Cross range was launched in 2011. The range currently includes ten different-sized boats, with the smallest being the sub-five-meter Cross 49 BR and the largest being the Cross 60 Cabin with a wheelhouse and the over seven-meter bowrider Cross 75 BR.
